Practical Guide

Get Ready for Your Lesson

Three things to sort before your first morning on the slopes — ski pass, rental, and a couple of small details that make the day work smoothly.

Ski Pass

Which Ski Pass to Buy

There's a single ski pass for all of Livigno — it covers all 31 lifts on both Mottolino and Carosello 3000.

2-hour lesson, sticking around to ski after?

Half-day pass: €40 low / €52 mid / €57.50 high season

Full day on the slopes?

Full-day pass: €50 low / €65 mid / €72 high season

5+ days in Livigno?

Multi-day works out cheaper per day. 6 days adult high season: €362 (~€60/day)

Skiing with kids or seniors?

Baby (born 2018+) — free skipass with the official 'Baby Free' promo: one full-price adult ticket of matching duration covers one baby. Junior (born 2010+) gets 50% off adult prices. Youth (born 2001+) and Senior (born 1961 or earlier) get about 15% off.

Booked a partner hotel or apartment in Livigno?

Shoulder-season bonus: between Nov 29–Dec 20 2025 and Apr 11–May 3 2026, partner accommodations include the skipass free — 5 nights + 4 ski days at hotels, or 7 nights + 6 ski days at apartments. Book direct or via livigno.eu (OTAs like Booking/Expedia don't qualify).

Don't want to choose?

Get the LivignoPass by Snowit — pay-per-use, you're charged only for the minutes spent on the lifts. Always the lowest possible price for how much you actually ski. See LivignoPass by Snowit

Buy at skipasslivigno.com

Same price as at the lifts, no queue. Bring photo ID.

High season: Dec 21–Jan 6 and Jan 31–Mar 27. Low season covers late November and late April–early May.

Equipment Rental

Where to Rent

You don't need to bring anything. Two shops we send our students to.

Standard rental (skis + boots + poles + helmet) runs ~€25–40/day. Book online before high season — last-minute walk-ins risk running out of sizes.

What to Wear

What to Wear and Bring

The list is short.

  • Layers

Thermal base, fleece or mid-layer, waterproof jacket and pants

  • Goggles, not sunglasses

    The snow glare is intense

  • Waterproof gloves

Plus warm socks and a neck gaiter

  • High-SPF sunscreen

UV at 2,500m is strong even on cloudy days

  • Water + snack

    Especially for kids

  • Phone with WhatsApp

That's how we send you the meeting point

Day-of

Meeting Point and Day-of

After you book, we send the exact meeting point via WhatsApp — usually by your hotel or near the lift you'll be skiing that day. Arrive 15 minutes early to put boots on and sort the lift pass. Free Skibus links the village and both gondolas, so no car needed. If you drive, parking is free at Mottolino and Carosello 3000 base stations.

Note: If lifts close for weather: the lesson is rescheduled or fully refunded, no questions.
